Universal Audio

Universal Audio was founded in 1958 by Bill Putnam Sr who worked extensively with luminaries such as Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole and Ray Charles. Universal Audio was re-founded in 1999 by Bill's sons, James Putnam and Bill Putnam Jr., with two main goals: to build the world's best classic analog recording equipment in the tradition of their father; and to create class leading software recording tools to emulate the sound and spirit of vintage analog technology.
