This range of extremely durable cable-drums all have drums made from synthetic rubber, with moulded high-strength plastic frames. All have a friction drum-brake incorporated into the frame to prevent movement in transit. The drums are available with two different style of side flange - with blanking-plate, or with cable tail supports.'Blanking plate' versions have a removeable plastic blanking plate over the hub, which can be punched to accept connectors as required, or removed for access to the inner tail of the cable. 'Cable tail support' types have an open hub plus four brackets on the flange face to enable the cable tail to be brought out from the hub of the drum at a gentle angle (important for coaxial and essential for fibre cables) and coiled and secured around the brackets.
Models CDR235 and CDR310 have a fixed winding handle on the drum flange, CDR380 and CDR450 have a folding
handle. Drums and frames are black. This range of rubber cable drums carries a five year warranty.

Please note: All figures are based on a theoretical 'tight pack' and do not take onto account any maximum weight loadings for drums being exceeded. It is recommended that an allowance of up to 30% be made to accommodate loose winding. A lower percentage could be used if the crew are known to always wind the drums neatly!
