Looper/Phrase Sampler

6 hours, 29 minutes and 52 seconds longer!
When we developed the PDS 8000 looper pedal almost twenty years ago, it stored
eight seconds of audio. Now we’ve reinvented it using removable CompactFlash® memory
to store up to 6.5 hours! A wide range of features combined with ease of use
make the DigiTech® JamMan® the perfect looper/phrase sampler for practicing,
composing, and performing.
Inputs and outputs
The JamMan is equipped with a full complement of input and output connections.
- 1/4" instrument
input with level control
- XLR mic input with volume control
- 3.5mm stereo jack input for connecting line level sources such as CD and
MP3 players
- 1/4" jack output for connecting to guitar amp, mixer or headphones
- 1/4" input for optional FSX footswitch
- USB port for connection to PC or Mac for archiving/transferring loops
Loop Storage
By using Compact Flash instead of volatile internal memory, the JamMan can
store up to 99 loops per card with a maximun recording time of 6-and-a-half
hours (depending on card capacity).
The built-in USB port connects to your computer with true plug-and-play ease
and allowing you to archive your existing loops and transfer easily between
JamMan and computer. There's no need to ever delete your music!
Recording/Overdubbing
Loops can be recorded from any of the inputs and unlimited overdubs can be
recorded on each loop. Overdubs can be erased and there is one level of undo/redo.
The Auxillary input features three extra modes. Centre Cancel - for removing
vocals from recordings, Full Range simulation - where an eq curve is applied
to allow recorded material to be played back through a guitar amp while still
sounding natural , or a combination of both.
Recording from any input can be started manually, or using the Auto Record
feature, will start as soon as you start playing. Once recorded a phrase can
be set to infinite (loop) or one-time playback.
Tempo/metronome
A metronome (rhythm) fuction is built into the JamMan with user adjustable
tempo and time signature and 9 sounds.
Tempo can be set by tapping the footswitch and loops will automatically speed
up or slow down to match the tempo without changing the pitch. Tempo and time
signature can be saved with each loop.
FSX Footswitch
The optional FSX 3-button footswitch provides hands-free scrolling through
loops and remote Auto Record mode.
